We are delighted to welcome Yasmeen to the community of Salt Spring Island. As an internationally acclaimed young harpist, singer and composer, her work is highly unique. Yasmeen sing’s using glossolalia, or (speaking in tongues) a fluid expression of consonants and vowels, a cappella, or accompanied by her often improvised Celtic harp compositions.
Against a backdrop of controversial media as concerns faith today, Yasmeen is a gentle revolutionary, using her music to bridge differences in many lives, speaking to the oneness of us all.
