Astropolitics: A Briefing Session for Elon Musk – Public Workshop Featuring UBC Students

11/19/2016
11/20/2016

Elon Musk intends to colonize Mars. The founder of Tesla, Solar City and SpaceX builds great machines, but it’s not clear that he’s worked through all the philosophical, political and legal implications of inter-planetary travel.

Sixteen students from the University of British Columbia have decided to help Musk out – by writing research reports on some of the great challenges facing humanity on the “final frontier”.

On November 19th (2:00-6:30 PM) and November 20th (9:00 AM-1:30 PM), the students present drafts of their reports at a public workshop organized by the Forum at GISS. The public is warmly invited to attend and audience members are welcome to come and go as they wish. Admission is by donation.
