Salt Spring Forum: In Defence of Science with Nancy Baron
A war on science is underway in the United States. Nancy Baron, one of the most influential defenders of science in the United States, joins the Forum for an inspiring conversation about science, communications, and changing the world!
Baron is Director of Science Outreach for COMPASS, an organization that helps scientists to engage with the public and policymakers on environment-related issues. When scientists find their research under threat, Baron also helps them reach out to larger audiences.
Baron began her career as a naturalist in BC parks and also worked as a biologist in Banff National Park. She then spent years as an award-winning magazine writer and journalist.
