Victoria-based lawyer Kirk Tousaw – who is a major force behind the legalization of cannabis in Canada – joins the Salt Spring Forum in discussion.
Tousaw is the go-to person for litigation concerning marijuana, up to and including the Supreme Court of Canada. A long-standing and influential proponent of law reform, Tousaw has worked extensively on issues related to drug policy and criminal justice policy.
Tousaw has regularly consulted with Health Canada on matters of cannabis law reform and has participated in various roundtables with the Cannabis Legalization Task Force.
