SS Forum Presents Psychologist Stephan Lewandowsky on Climate Change Denial

11/13/2017 7:30 pm

Why do some political leaders and everyday people reject scientific evidence? What psychological factors contribute to climate change denial?

To help us understand and address these issues and more, psychologist Stephan Lewandowsky joins the Salt Spring Forum in conversation.

Lewandowsky is a cognitive scientist at the University of Bristol. His most recent research examines the potential conflict between human understanding and the global climate.

He has published extensively on how people respond to corrections of misinformation and what determines people’s acceptance of scientific findings.

Don’t miss this fascinating discussion!
