Salt Spring Forum: Restoring our Oceans with John Nightingale, Vancouver Aquarium President

04/07/2018 7:30 pm

Overfishing, oil spills, plastics, climate change – our oceans are in big trouble. How can we restore their health?

John Nightingale has led the Vancouver Aquarium for more than two decades. He joins the Salt Spring Forum in a deep-reaching conversation about the oceans – and how we can transform our relationship to them.

No stranger to challenges, Nightingale has led the world’s most important aquarium from being a showcase for performing orcas to being a globally oriented conservation organization and one of the “greenest” civic institutions in Canada.

A professional biologist and top-flight communicator, Nightingale seeks to engage and inform millions of people about the oceans and aquatic life – all in pursuit of conservation.

Join John Nightingale to discuss the health of our oceans – one of the most important issues of our times!
