Salt Spring Island Accommodations

The Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia offers exceptional outdoor adventures and an amazing climate which allows local farms to produce an abundance of organic and award winning produce and delicacies.

The largest of these islands is Salt Spring Island, with a yearly population of 10,000 people. Saltspring is 17 miles (27 km) long and 9 miles (14 km) wide, with 83 miles (133 km) of shoreline (182 square kilometres). The island attracts visitors and prospective residents with its mild climate and annual sunshine in excess of 2,000 hours.

From quaint bed and breakfasts to deluxe hotels and resorts, you can find a comfortable place to rest your feet during your holiday visit. If you like to "rough it" a bit, salt Spring also offers various campgrounds, but it is advisable to book ahead when planning your visit to this island paradise.

Lakeside Cottage
Lakeside cottage is a beautiful west coast cottage with 3 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and a view down to the lake. The second bedroom has a bunk bed that is most comfortable for children and the third, has a double bed. Maximum number of persons in the cottage is 5.

There is a large living room with tv/vcr/stereo, a wood stove/ fireplace and a deck which overlooks the lake. The south side of the cottage has another deck with outside tables, chairs and BBQ. The kitchen is well equipped and also houses a washer/dryer.

Guests have use of a sauna that is attached to our house, down near the lake, plus use of canoes, and row boat for fishing There are kayaks available for the use of those who have some kayaking experience. If you do not, Island Escapades, our outdoor adventure company, can offer cottage guests a discount and shortened version of an introductory lesson. After this, guests will be able to independently use the kayaks on the lake. The dockside has lounge chairs and a ladder into the lake. The swimming in the lake is superb in the summer and the water is deep enough to dive in right off of the dock.
